Driving Traffic To Your Website
You may have a online business that sells other people’s products or your own products. But whether you are selling your own or others, lots of traffic is what you need for your websites. You don’t just want any traffic – what you want is targeted and buying visitors.
In the early days of my internet marketing career, I experimented on different methods for driving traffic. Many of the programs and services that I have purchased did not have a lot of effect on my website traffic.
Listed below are the three traffic generation techniques that I found most effective:
* Text Link Ads
Linking can be by either paid or unpaid methods. Adding links in e-zines or in other websites are some examples of paid linking methods. The best suggestion that I can give you is to research the Ezines, newsletters and or other people sites that you want to link with before buying. Make sure the traffic and ezine subscriber base is good enough for you.
The unpaid method is through article creation . This requires hard work on your part, but the return will be seen in the long term. Attract your target visitors by placing relevant and valuable information in your articles.
* Pay-Per-Click
If you have some advertising budget, it makes sense to put it in pay per click. If you use pay per click, you create a compeling advertisement for your target visitors and bid on the keywords that you want. This takes time, energy, persistence and money and research unless you know the google secret loophole by now. Make sure you understand the rules of the search engine where you want to do PPC before you start your campaigns.
* Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
This involves targeting a particular keyword and optimizing your website for that particular keyword. Although you get free traffic with SEO, optimizing your website can be time consuming.
These are traffic generation tactics that are the most effective.
